Dearest CASSW Community,
As we have taken time to process the results of the 2024 election, we recognize that this period can bring a variety of emotions and reactions across our student body, staff, and community and within ourselves. Elections often impact individuals in different ways, and it’s natural for all of us and those we serve to experience a range of responses.
Now, more than ever, the role we play in providing emotional and social support is invaluable. We encourage you to continue being a resource for students and colleagues who may seek guidance or express concerns. Whether facilitating discussions, providing resources, or simply offering a listening ear, your work is crucial in maintaining a positive, equitable, and supportive environment in our schools.
While we are fortunate to live and work in California, we must remain vigilant to ensure our at promise populations are protected and supported. We must work together in consultation and collaboration as an organization and in our communities. We have listed some resources below that we hope are of value to you during these times of turmoil.
