As we wrap up the first week of 2022 the CASSW Organization would like to honor a very special person to us, the founder of CASSW Marianne Pennekamp who passed at the age of 97 in December of 2021. Many who knew Marianne describe her as a pioneer in the field of School Social Work in California and a force to be reckoned with in her years of supporting and advocating for youth in schools. We are grateful for all Marianne has done for us and the path she made for our field. She will be greatly missed!
